Janneff’s

Janeff Books arrived in the Village 28 years ago and after four moves arrived at its present site in 1996.

Originally the business was a Childrens' Bookshop but over the years the business has expanded and we now cater for the whole family. We are still very passionate about books for children and have an excellent range of both fiction and non fiction.

Our childrens' books are displayed prominently in the front of the store unlike most shops which have them tucked away at the back.

Our selection of adult books is a little different to what you find in other bookshops. We have an excellent range of New Zealand books and an extensive collection of backlist titles.

We are an owner operated independent bookshop with a small knowledgeable staff. All our books are selected by the staff We also have a small selection of magazines and imported and New Zealand cards.
